Room hire
Island Health College has a number of room hire options for training or practitioner use.
Training Room Hire
Our two training rooms can accommodate up to 16 people each comfortably allowing for the use of massage tables in hands on workshops or between 30 and 40 with individual seating for a presentation.
Our rooms are heated for your comfort and have natural lighting as well as light fittings.
Training room hire packages can be tailored to suit your needs including use of:
- massage tables
- data projector
- overhead projector
- whiteboards
- television and DVD or VCR player
Tea, coffee and kitchen facilities are also available.
The College is in close proximity to the Café Strip in North Hobart and Metro bus services.
Hire Rates:
$ 30.00 Single Hour Rate (for up to 4 hours)
$150.00 Full day (over 4 hours)
$5.00 per table Massage Tables
$5.00 Transparency Overhead Projector
$10.00 TV / Video / DVD setup
$10.00 Digital Overhead projector

A $50.00 deposit is required on submission of Booking Form

Practitioner Room Hire
Rooms at Island Health College are available for hire for practitioners in the Natural Therapies.
When making a booking, please provide a copy of (or bring with you for photocopying) your Qualification Award and certificate of insurance. The College does not take any responsibility for the clients under the care of a professional during the course of treatment.
Please note that the rooms are not heated on continuous basis. Whilst we endeavor to turn the heaters on prior to the appointments, it is advised that you either attend the College with enough time prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure the comfort of your client, or call the College in advance to ensure that this has been arranged for you.
There are 3 rooms for hire
- Red room
- Green room
- Blue room
Each room has:
- a massage table
- table and 2 chairs
- a heater
You will need:
- own towels
- own oil
- own music & own CD player
- any other requirements for your treatment
Tea and coffee facilities are available in our kitchenette.
RATES
- Single client (1 hour treatment) $12.00 plus GST
- Half a day (4 hour block) $30.00 plus GST
- Full day (8 hour block) $50.00 plus GST
